----

F. Scott Fitzgerald was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1896. He spent much of his childhood in Saint Paul, and returned to the city after attending Princeton and working in New York City, to complete his bestselling first novel, This Side of Paradise, in 1920. Scott and his wife Zelda became international celebrities and symbols of the Roaring ‘20s and the Jazz Age (a term coined by Fitzgerald). Today, Fitzgerald is acknowledged as one of America’s greatest writers, and in particular, his novel, The Great Gatsby, has been read by millions of people.
